RECYCLED ROOF SLATES

The greater part of our big south-pitched roof will be clad in photo-voltaic modules, with a solar thermal panel thrown in for good measure.

The remainder of this roof, plus our much smaller north-pitched roof, has a more traditional cladding: slates. However, we are not using slates made of traditional slate, but slates made of recycled plastic and crushed limestone. These 'Ardesia' slates are a good example of a high quality, substantial product made from recycled plastics.
