LIGHTING DESIGN

Lighting design should always begin by maximising daylighting. This was not too difficult for us as we wanted big windows and a minimum of interior walls anyway.

Artificial lighting design was more of a challenge. We wanted to use the most energy efficient lighting on the market in an inspiring design that will be a pleasure to live within. With the help of James Wadsworth and Jane Rawlings of Light Projects, we think we will achieve this.

Fortunately compact flourescent lighting is now available in many forms including replacements for ceiling recessed halogens. We are also using LEDs, T5 flourescent tubes and only a couple of low voltage halogens.
