CONTEMPORARY STAINED GLASS

We are playing many games with our tree in the design of the house. One is a 1.6m high glass panel that brings daylight through from the laundry at the front of the house to the kitchen at the back of the main room.

Our initial aim was simply to improve the daylighting and so reduce the energy consumption of artifical lights. But this was a great opportunity to so something special. Sara McNichol of Juicy Glass did the trick, creating a panel inspired by light penetrating the canopy of a tree on a summer's day. We love it.
