March saw the arrival of our timber frame, but only just. Most of the month was focussed on building other boundaries: the fence and walls in the back garden and the brick walls at the front.

Here local metal-designer Jonnie Rowlandson pieces together our garden fence, made from salvaged scrap metals. The garden is our hearth, so Jonnie was commissioned to make something fiery and organic.
